Ive been playing guitar for 2 years, but Ive only learned about a years worth. I realized today that Im still playing the riffs I learned last year. Ive just been really lazy lately. So I need some songs that will improve my skill. Id like some intermediate skill songs, with a good amount of fretting, but nothing like One by Metallica or Stairway to Heaven. Just some more challening songs that arent overwhelming.

try "mr. crowley" or "miracle man" by ozzy osbourne, or "all of this" by shaimus. Those all have great solos and they aren't TOO tough but they are a challenge
#7
Id also like to add that they either need to be in standard or drop B

I'm just throwing stuff out there. I don't know what song applies to each skill level.

At this point I learn songs just cause I like playing them.

Edit-X:

Crossroads - Cream
Mother Russia - Iron Maiden
Soul Crusher - White Zombie
Cat Scratch Fever - Ted Nugent

Dream On by Aerosmith?
It's easy except the solo might be a wee bit tricky.

ive been playing trivium - gunshot to the head of trepidation, and like light to flies
its made me way better already
i use guitar pro also

try some metallica fade to black if trivium is too hard

Ok, Ive been doing Black Dog, I just cant get the picking pattern down right, after the string of hammer ons and pull offs. Im also learning Sweet Child O Mine and Little Sister. Anyone else have anymore songs along the line of these?

Rhythm Changes/I Got Rhythm.

Jazz standard(s) that has cool chord changes and stuff which should make for an interesting experience. Try soloing over it; figure out the best ways to change keys along with the rhythm. It's a lot of fun and very different from all the metalllllll \m/rawk,rawk on \m/ that I'm sure everyone else is used to playing.
