Hello, i just want you guys' opinion on which amps are the best for "metal" kind of music. I want that really low crunch tone with alot of bass in it and solos and that type of stuff. I need something in the range from 100-200 dollars. oh yea and its a guitar amp
any ideas?

I stand by my GFX 212T, but crate isn't really known for their lower model amps. I was able to pick up mine used for 350, but that may have just been a luck thing. The best thing to do is go in and try as many amps as you can. Or Invest in a Boss MD-2 or Landmine distorion pedal and basicly ignor the amps sound itself. Really depends on your mind set.

haaa nice. i must say, the crate's distortion isn't suited for metal as much as a cube... which is okay for me because i'm not a metal head
