I have been trying to work through this recently.
The tab I have shows the second solo starting with a three note shape with pull offs:
--17p13-----
----------15--
or something like that.

However, it doesn't sound right when I play it.
Apart from the fact that I can't play it fast enough, I get a sharp pick attack on the 17 note.
On the recording it sounds like tapping to me.
And I can play it at full speed if I tap it.
Is the tab wrong? Which way did Randy play it?

-Those are definitely pulloffs. What he does (atleast according to a video I've seen) is that he doesnt let the strings ring afterwards and just continues this in a cycle. Keep playing and you will eventually get a hang of it.

Thanks.
But I can't get it to sound smooth that way, so I might just tap it - it seems to work for me.

Yeah, I thought for the longest time that it was tapping. Then I watched Randy perform it live and realized he was just doing pulloffs.

I still tap when I play it though - sounds right and its easier
