I have an Engl Thunder Reverb combo, which has only one gain knob and one volume knob for the two channels. The thing is, I need two separate gain controls, and possibly two volume controls as well. As it is, it's almost impossible to switch from clean to distortion mid-song, because the clean channel is just way louder.

I'd hate to have to sell my amp just because of this problem. Is it possible to have a modification done where each channel has its own gain and volume control??

Really, modding isn't worth it. Just get an overdrive pedal instead, which will give you a volume and gain boost.

How's the Classic, btw?

Yeah I need an overdrive pedal. Might get the MI Audio Tube Zone.

Anyway, the classic is alright. It's so damn bluesy though, I find it hard to get into rock territory. Again, I need an overdrive pedal lol.

You with an ENGL should have no prob affording it, and it sure looks good in the magazines.
