I was at a used guitar shop earlier this week and tryed out a Fender blues junior...wow. Great amp. It was marked at $300. Good buy, right? My only concern is, would it be loud enough for smaller gigs? Like house parties or backyard shows?

Actually I played it quiet a few times and I think it could do backyards on its own depending on the situation.

Also you can mic it in bigger places pretty easily.

House parties; yes. Backyards; most likely.

My 6 watt amp can keep up with a quiet drummer (not a normal one though) so 15 watts should be fine.

I think you would be fine with that. It's such a great little amp. If not, save up and look for a used Hot Rod Deluxe. I picked up a used one for only $400...it's DEFINITELY powerful enough for what you need.

How would a Blues Deluxe compare to Blues Jr. overall sound wise?
