I'm looking for a new amp to go with my epiphone sg. I'm a little short on budget but still tell me what you have in mind. Any ideas?

Uh..what IS your budget and what do you play?

We don't want to suggest you a metal amp if you're only going to be playing led zeppelin or something.

Microcube.

I've played with it a LONG time ago. Very cute, fun amp to play with. Has many effects, great small practice amp and gives off mean metal tones for its price!

under $200 dollars...
so it's more like "perfect amp for a poor bastard with an sg"

yeah I know what thats like, being poor,
and before I get flamed, I know that having $200 to spend on an amp isn't technically poor

anyways, I second the roland cube
it's pretty nice for the price

It's not too bad. Plus ibanez4life SZ! has a thread about replacing the tube with a Mesa, thereby making it better on the distortion models. I might try that.

If you got a Randall RG, it'd have to be used. The 75 watt, which i think is the cheapest, starts at about $400. They are great amps, though.
The RX's are pretty cheap, but I've never tried one of them.
