Hi i just bought This guitar stand for my epi les paul elitist, only to notice after buying it that in the description in brackets it says "not suitable for guitars with nitro laquer". Dont know what this is so could anyone tell me if my guitar has nitro laquer? thnx.

its a paint... a very thin shitty paint that is.

its a varnish used on expensive guitars.if your guitar cost less than a grand than probably not

The foam will react with the nitro, leaving nasty stains. If you can't dent your finish with your nails, it's not nitro.

yeah i will try and hammer a few nails into my guitar just to check...lol jk. Anyone know for sure?

Nitro Laquer is only ever used on expensive guitars that are made to age quicker

my '62 RI strat has nitro paint and its thinner
