would a standard fender strat neck fit well enough in a neck pocket of

Width 57mm

Depth 19mm

Length 82mm

if not, what dimensions should i be looking for?

in practice, how much difference would 1-2mm too big make?

this is an ebay body, so it could just be sloppy measuring on the part of the seller?

yes but the pocket is 1-2mm too big... what do u suggest? reverse sanding? :P

If it is 1-2mm that is quite a big gap, i wouldn't be happy with on one of my guitars.

Unless you can add wooden shims, I wouldn't get it. 2 mm on guitar is quite big when it comes to neck pockets unfortunately.
