there are a bunch of small cracks in it. you can see white stuff inside of the cracks, i have no idea what it is though. oh and quick question, does it hurt your guitar's neck if you take all the strings off?

it gets whitish residue on it so it LOOKS like its drying out but im not sure if it really is. i do know that gunk forms right where the wood and the metal meets.

no... u are supposed to take off all the strings when u put new ones on so its okay to take em off the clean the fretboard.

yea use lemon oil
like dunlop has a lemon oil u can use
dont use any cleaning product with lemon oil in it unless its for guitar
just put some on each fret wipe it off and it cleans and restores ur neck
it should feel better after that a bottle of it is only like 3usd

i bought this and its good for cleaning ur guitar and taking care of it
