i was wondering.... if i kept changing the tuning on my S470 between Drop D and Standard would it mess up the trem?

no, i do it all the time, you should be fine. I have mine set so i can change between normal tunign and drop d with the fine tuning adjusters.

yeah thats what i were thinking of doing, i only use the fine tuners anyway
ive not had it that long about 4 months ish i dotn wanna ruin it thats all

It depends, some people say putting it in drop D will change the pitch of the other strings. On my FR I can change to drop D without too much adjustment on my other strings. And changing tuning can't ruin a trem, that's not what does it in, it can change the position of it though, so it might need setting up.
