okay, im not going to be getting this anytime soon. but knowing what guitar i want and how much it costs, my dad said my amp can cost just as much.

so, i'll have $1750 CAD, which is roughly $1500 USD.

I play prog metal, and classic rock.

so i'd like something fairly versatile, and the OD/Distortion is more important than the cleans.

whats good?

Orange Rocker 30 or 50 maybe, very nice for Classic and prog rock...might need an extra boost for metal but they are fairly high gain

but if you have £750, I'd take a look at the engl screamer combo, the thunder, and the laney tt50 combo and gh50L and 2x12 framus cab, as mentioned.

as well as the marshalls.

from another thread, "the marshalls" being the JCM 2000's (DSL50 etc)
£750 = 1700CAD$
