but on a tune-o-matic bridge.....is the stopbar supposed to be screwed in or can you just pull it off?

well if there is no strings on the guitar then yes it can be pulled off. But if there is strings on the guitar and you can still rip it off. then that might be a problem. And im not too sure how you would fix it.
