well, they have tonnes of items for pretty much everything you need. but i always shop around for stuff. froogle is good for finding good prices for specific items. there are literally tonnes of sites to buy all gear on, better then just sticking to one.

GAK are a very trustworthy site, and have amazing deals and quick delivery.

www.thomann.de? Oh thats brill, i didnt think they shipped to UK cos their in germany, and you dont get charged VAT on items entering country?

Nope :-).

Still shop around though as they are not the cheapest for everything i ordered my Framus 212cab plus some other stuff from them (check out the prices on strings its like £3 for a set of Ernies/ d'addarios) and it came in 5 days. It probs would have been faster if ordered on Monday/ sunday night.

They are amazing, the only thing is delivery need to be signed for and the DHL tracking is a bit poor.

GAK are awesome although you dont necessarily have to buy directly from them, when I bought my SG, the shop I bought it from price matched, meaning I walked away that day with it, ready to rock out at home with. I also got a case with it, it was soft but thats beyond the point.

They also have a problem with colours, I tried to buy a Les Paul from there but they didnt have it in the right colour. Well the answer was, we probably do but we dont know. Not a great reply when your about to buy a guitar from them, just ask about the colours in stock and that before hand and you should be fine.

I love it, I live in Brighton so I was able to buy my DSL401 in store for only 400 pounds.

I've emailed them asking if I can get a discount as a student, including a full "I'm poor" sob story. I'll let you all know.

Hi,

The prices on the website are ex VAT, obviously if you buy anything for yourself, you will have to pay VAT on top. The other way to do it is to get your school (must be LEA maintained) to send us an order and for you to then buy it off them ex VAT via the AIPS scheme (your school should know about this).

Many thanks

So basically my school would have to order it in, then I buy it from them?

I can't see them going for that at all

GAK will price match as well - just email them. They're reliable and carry most stuff.

They're the cheapest I've found for the amp I want, so I don't think they can go much lower on the main site?

Buy the guitar from a shop so you know what you're getting.
But GAK are great.
