I decided that I should go ahead and make a thread about one of the best jazz guitarist to ever play, Jim Hall. He played with many of the greats including a few albums with the jesus of piano Bill Evans, for those who haven't heard it you should check out Undercurrent. That's enough of my rambling let's start the discussion.

Ah, I love Jim Hall.

I think some of his best playing can be heard of Power Of Three along with Wayne Shorter and Michel Petrucciani.
He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt.
He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would fully suffice.

He's pretty simple in comparision to some other jazz greats, but I think that's what makes him so melodic. All of his improvisations seem to get to the point of the song and are strongly based off of the melody.
