Hey, we're a blues/rock trio and are entering a very "Hard Rock" dominated battle of the bands at school. We're pretty tight and pretty talented though we are ust freshman, here's a list of songs we can do really well but we have a 15 min limit. Any suggestions?

Red House-Hendrix

Voodoo Chile- Hendrix/Vaughan

Hard to Handle-Black Crowes

Cheap Sunglasses-ZZ Top

And a bunch more generic kind of rock songs that I can't remember at the moment.

Any other songs you guys think we should do?

play twinkle twinkle little star, that'll blow them away

no but seriously.
Try a Black Sabbath song, like War Pigs or Snowblind, if you want to show off your steeze to a hard rock dominated audience.

maybe some AC/DC, everybody likes/ knows AC/DC
Now officially has too much gear to list

Maybe learn one song of that genre to open/close with as a joke haha

I actually though about coming out and saying, "Hello, we're LaceratedHeartCutCry/TearsInNovember and playing a bunch of shitty power chords and screaming and then going into the riff from Fleetwood Mac's Oh Well.

Have a go at something not so common

If you have heard of Pagan Altar have a go at Cry of the Banshee, simple in many ways but has some quality guitar solos

I think stone is either 7 or 14 lbs

Edit I'm gonna go with 14 because it's rather unlikely you're 56 pounds

I just happened to play a show to a mostly hard rock audience. We only got to play one song, so we played Back In Black and killed. If there's any song that people want to hear, no matter how overrated, it's Back In Black.

Two other hard rock suggestions would be Crazy Train and Rock You Like a Hurricane. Both easy songs (besides their solos, both of which could take some work), yet they're awesome crowd pleasers.

Play your own stuff... Or some deep purple... "Demons Eye" "Black Night". Top hard rock/blues songs, get all the girlies dancing!
#20
Play the version of Fly By Night/In the Mood done on Rush's live album "All the World's A Stage." It rocks hard, and will be a great tune to do. Also play Hard To Handle, maybe Walk This Way, and Voodoo Chile. Obviously take out HTH or WTW though. Use one of those two songs.

Id say go with a lesser know sabbath song (meaning not warpigs or paranoid), something with mad riffage.

No not N.I.B. Fairies Wear Boots, or The Wizard, or Wicked World, Sleeping Village, anything from the Master of Reality, or even Hole In the Sky. Those would all be amazing choices.

Maybe you should do something that isn't such hard rock, as everybody else will undoubtedly be doing that.

Slow it down a little, stand out, then build up into something heavy.
#28
Try Working Man, or Earthshine( lesser known Rush song, but it rocks). Or Brain of J by Pearl Jam( Ok thats a bit more grunge, but it rocks too).
