I love that movie. If you liked it, you should check out Life and Times at Ridgemont High. That one's not very funny though.

....How is the Breakfast Club even funny?
Yeah, John is a sarcastic ass hole, and has some funny lines.
But when I saw it was on Comedy Central today, I was almost offended.
Just watch.

I thought it was funny when the criminal (forgot his name) was hiding under the table after he fell out of the roof.
#18
It was a pretty funny movie but the underlieing theme to it is how they have one person from ever social group getting along because they put their stereotypes aside.

We had to watch it in phych, and thats the answer they wanted.

I've always wondered though, why is it that Brian (the Brain) the only one who doesn't hook up at the end? It seems to conform to the stereotype that smart kids aren't able to get boy/girlfriends.

It's ohkay, but kinda overrated, I expected so much more from it from what people have told me.

Then again, they're the same people that love Donnie Darko..

Yeah, what was the deal with that? But what I mean is, if the kids were supposed to be breaking stereotype, why couldn't the brain have hooked up with the basketcase or the princess? Or even the criminal? THAT would have been weird...

No, wait, the brain getting with Mr. Vernon would have been weird

first off, donnie darko isn't over-rated. it's not even rated. ('least not in cincinnati) and it's a fantastic movie with an interesting, albeit hard to follow plot. really, just 'cause a movie isn't all flames and guns doesn't mean it's not good. (not trying to call anyone out, i'm sure you all appreciate good films.)* not condescending.

secondly, molly ringwald is gorgeous.

Yeah, me too. But what I'm saying is, while it did buck some of the stereotypes of the 80's teen flick, it still conformed to others.

Then again, I may just be reading into it too much.

EDIT: And at wylde's typo up there.
