Anyone else think this song is the greatest guitar solo ever? Especially the first 2-3 minutes.
what is the music theory and what does it teach you, like scales, solos, and to build speed???

It is damn good. Eddie Hazel is way underrated.

Eddie Hazel is one of my all time favorite guitar players. If you think he's good on "Maggot Brain" get the song "Get Off Your Ass And Jam." Amazing stuff.

Genius song... so moving.
According to BS statistics, 92% of teens have moved on to rap. If you're among the 8% who doesn't consider rap to be real music, donate your brains, as you clearly aren't using them.

So much Hendrix influence in this one, great solo. "Play Like your mama just died, Eddie."

Maggot Brain is awesome. I love how non-guitar players think its crap and turn it off. Great fun at parties :P.

Yep, 'tis most awesome. Eddie's easily in my Top 5 guitarists.

A recent study shows that 8% of teenagers listen to nothing but music with guitars in it. Put this in your sig if you're one of the 92% who isn't a close-minded moron.

I love this solo. Unfortunately, I can't find any good tabs for it.
But, even if you aren't high or drunk, you can still see the notes floating through the air.
It is that amazing.
