Sock it to me.

Fast or slow, I don't care.
State the obvious ones too, not too familiar with the genre.
I have cancer, fight me.
YOU WON'T.

obviously - as already observed in the dedicated thread - behold the arctopus

mad props for IS-IS and Pelican as well.

Sleep Terror - mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Liquid Tension Experiment - but they lean more on the prog side of things.

I feel like im forgetting something - Spence - hit me up for anything - i think ive got some of everything at the moment - though i cant recall what does or does not have DRM protections on it?

Parkway Drive - The Cruise
Not really a core song. But a core band.

Her Nightmare - Intro (off their EP)

That's all I got for now.
#8
Red Sparrows - more ambient, easy listening stuff but very good
Pelican - There old stuff is more doomy, so check out their self titled ep

Buried at Sea - straight up doom metal, has vocals but it is very minimal

Tides - just like red sparrows

Zombi - think 80's horror movies, this band is just fun to listen to

Also for anyone familiar with doom metal, recommendations?
My favorite is funeral doom, but others will suffice.
My personal favorites are Asunder and Mournful Congregation.

Boris is Doom...well most of it anyways. Tides and Manatees are too. Just look at my list, Spence.

But you already know them.

Funeral Doom- Shape of Despair (AWESOME), they are extremely gloomy, don't listen to it for too long.

Intrumental- Darkest Hour - Veritas Aquetas

Luke's list is pretty much amazing, those are all the bands I would recommend. Also check out

Scale The Summit; these guys are great, pretty technical, I think you'd like them. They kinda remind me of BTBAM. They even have some dates with The Faceless. Check 'em out.

The Cancer Conspiracy; Their guitarist is in Daughters now. These guys are really good though, not exactly "core" but good none the less, I'm pretty sure they're broke up now.

Not core in any way, but Blotted Science are by far the best instrumental band ever. Featuring Alex Webster, Cannibal Corpses bass master, the best bassist in death metal.
#37
Tera Melos, Explosions In The Sky and This Will Destroy you are my favorite instrumental bands but there not metal.
My Bass Rig (Since Everyone does this)
Fender Jazz 5 String
4x10 Hartke Transporter Series
Behringer BX4500H Ultrabass Bass Head (Changing to a Hartke 5500)
