Hi ehm, I have a wah pedal but it only works good when using the bridge pickup. When using the neck pickup it doesn't give much wah. Is this supposed to be this way?

The wah pedal boosts a short range of frequencies, and moving that range around with the foot pedal is what creates the wah effect. A guitar's neck pickup, though, generally produces a softer, more mellow sound with less highs and more mids and lows. Thus, when you move the wah pedal up, there isn't much treble to boost in the first place, which is why the wah effect seems more limited.

So as a short answer, yes, it's supposed to be this way.

Ah thank you. I was asking this because I usually use neck pickup for solo's. But I guess when using wah it's better to use the bridge pickup from now on.
