The bass tracks for earlier Green Day albums are quite complex when compared to the guitar rhythm tracks.

What kind of music do you both listen to?
Schecter C-1 Classic (Antique Amber)
Ibanez JEM 7VWH
Crate Palamino Class A tube combo
Digitech RP80 Multieffects pedal
Ibanez TS9 DX Tube Screamer

I second Maxwell Murder. I definitely don't second Hysteria and For Whom the Bell Tolls (the guitar is harder in both those songs).

the guitar in hysteria is ridiculously easy :S its like 4 power chords and then 4 barre chords... although the solo might be a challenge for a begginer... and the bass in hysteria is quite hard.

Nah, that one main guitar riff with the octaves and br note, I can never seem to get down :-/

The bass, meanwhile, is definitely easy.

^I'd let a pro look at it. Once you get into the technicalities of screws...well, it's just a place you don't want to be, friend.

+1 doesn't get much easier for guitar. seriously step 1, mute string with left hand, step 2, play the rhythm. easy as hell.
