Man these guys are eons old, they got kinda big with the Alkaline Trio split, but then fizzled out again after, "The New What Next". Haven't really heard anything since.

One of the most original voices around, though. Great band.
Filth, pure filth... That's what you are.

Probably because they broke up.
"Remedy" and "Trusty Chords" are good songs, but I don't really listen to them that often.

I saw them when they toured with NFG in 2004, I wasn't too fond of them really, they never really grew on me after that.

Homosexual sex for $200?
Be honest.
I'd do it. I think that I could stand one night with a man for the financial security of my whole life and the life of my children
And no I'm not gay. I'm 100% straight.

don't think they broke up, but didn't the singer leave? or they became the draft? or something. i don't know. everyone loves remedy though, and there's one or two more i know and enjoy but im not overly familiar with them. the new what next wasnt so hot, that was the one i got first so that put me off i think.

Yeah, the band changed names. I am not sure what though. I have The New What's Next and I love it. =/

Pshh -1 kabillion

I'm still more of a fan of No Division, TNWN just seemed too commercial, idk. Still it was a great album.

I've given them a few listens, not exactly on the top on my list of bands, but I like them. What would be a good album to start to get into them?
#15
I saw Chuck Ragan live with the Gaslight Anthem last year, I've been hooked on Hot Water Music ever since, they're such a great band.

Any drummers willing to give me a hand tabbing out the drums to Trademark and Freightliner? I can work it out roughly on guitar pro, but not being a drummer makes it a lot harder

I like HWM, but don't love them. The praise they get is slightly beyond me.

You listened to any songs off fuel for the hate game?
#19
Damn, I really like this band!

But, I wouldn't say their primarily a pop-punk band though. :S

i mean no offense to buttholes and poop or anything

But most of the bands discussed in this forum aren't pop punk or emo either.

What are they then? I always thought they were pop punk or post hardcore, but then again I could be wrong.

I know, I know. It's more a way to group bands together that don't really sound like each other .
#28
how the hell are they pop punk... they're just punk, or if you're in to the term, then yes, technically 'orgcore' would be right
i love hwm, but i cant really get into the first 3 albums. favourite song has to be a tie between 'rooftops' and 'wayfarer'. and also, the new what next is super underrated

I wish it was.
It would make life easier to say I listen to "orgcore" then to explain that I like "punk rock pop-punk hardcore melodic hardcore skate punk bands with varying levels of each category depending on each band, but mostly with the same sound".

I hate saying I listen to punk. It sounds so pretentious.

How is punk more pretentious than saying some long winded genre? Neo dramatic post hard scramz core?

Yes, and it sounds pretentious to me.

It's honestly the most un-pretentious genre I can think of.

I don't mean that punk is pretentious, I mean saying "Oh, I listen to punk" sounds pretentious.
#38
Less pretentious than saying "I listen to post funk industrial jazzcore."
