Im looking to find a melodic solo. Something that will really give me goose bumps when I listen to it. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advanced

If you're a metalhead, try the solos in "Arson" by Amon Amarth. Maybe not the most melodic EVER, but definitely worth a listen.

O there are so many. Definitly comfortably numb! both the bridge and final solo. Just amazing!

For the love of God- is so beatuiful. Vai plays with so much feeling.
I'd also say Cemetary Gates. I'm not a dime freak or anything, but his solo in that song really flows. Good use of diminished/cromaticism contrast to the major scale runs.

Always with you Always with me cant be left out.
both Mama i'm Comming Home and No More Tears are some of Zack Wyldd's best.
Cliffs of Dover is a must.

"Always With Me, Always With You" by Joe Satriani is one of the best melodic solos ever. Easily.
Any of David Gilmour's solos, either with Pink Floyd or his solo albums. Try out "Comfortably Numb" and "Mother."
"For the Love of God" by Steve Vai.
"The Sleep" by Pantera, Dimebag's most underrated solo. It's astounding.

I personally really like James Hetfields solo in Master of Puppets. It's not the most medlodic out there, but I personally like it a lot. I also feel that the interlude solo in To Live is to Die is very good.

There's a difference between "melodic solo" and "****ing kick ass awesome solo"...

When I think "melodic solo" I think of a solo that you always sing along with when it comes up.

Not many of these qualify for that, in my opinion.

+1 for Floods and Cemetary Gates. Dime is an amazing soloist.

Have you listened to "The Sleep"? You really should. It's one of his best. Super melodic. It sends shivers down my spine every time I listen to it.
