If you aren't sure if you want a FR, then definitely don't get a guitar with one. The one on that Jackson is a little dodgy, and if you aren't going to use it that much it's more of a hassle than what it's worth.

I'm a fan of the compound-radius of the Jackson's fretboard, though.

The Schecter is an all-around solid guitar.
