If you could play any concert or fesitval in the history of music which one would you play?

Id
open up for Guns N Roses at the Ritz 1988,
play the 1983 US Festival
or play the Freddie Mercury Tribute concert

That is a really hard choice...

lol I see GNR open up for the Cult at a roller skating place ... then not long after that I seem them open for Iron Maiden .. Best yet though I seen the Blizzard of Ozz tour at a small theater I believe April Wine open for him.
I have seen a lot of bands that where at the time up and coming in small venues... black Sabbath ~ mob rules, Mercyful Fate/King Diamond ~don’t brake the oath, Metallica ~ Ride The Lightning, Slayer ~ Reign in Blood and many many more

Any Floyd show, so I could walk out afterwards, take off my guitar and just go "****. I am NOT following that..."

And then I'd go do whatever David Gilmour ever wanted me to do.

Oh, and Woodstock with Jimi.

any of Frank Zappas shows, particuliarly the '76 show in Waterbury, CT when Mahavishnu Orchestra opened.

that and the show SRV died later that night, SRV, Buddy Guy, Clapton and Robert Cray. amazing. would have kept SRV back with pictures and autographs so he didnt have time to make the helicopter. it was nowhere's near his time to die.

I'd open for Live Aid hands down. Just to have been able to meet Mercury, let alone open for him, would be a truly awesome experiance.
