hey well i'm looking at trying a little bit of recording.
problem is i have a budget of $00.00. I have a sweet acoustic and a pickup, amp, mixer, km's of leads, tonnes of mics and whatever, so everything i need to perform. i can record on my mixer, but only onto a tape (yes people, that mythical beast called the cassette tape still exists outside of nursing homes and museums). so.... is this still vaguely compatable with the modern world???

so.... help?

Connect your tape player to your computer by using headphone out on tape player to mic in on computer and then use audacity to covert to MP3.

Audacity is a very good, FREE, easy to use recording tool. Link
