A lot of the most acclaimed guitarists around where I'm from either play chord melody or metal. I obviously want respect, not to mention folk and metal are my favorite genres, however... I'm way too much of a soft-spoken guy I think to play the latter (lol). I have trouble putting together chord progressions w/ actual melodic chords half the time, (chords excluding power chords) and so I was just wondering how people built up their skills in some complex acoustic chord melody?
Live hard, party hard, work hard.
Well, my teacher always gives me to perform these jazz pieces, which are written for one guitar. They're very frustrating to learn, but if you try to always stay relaxed, with time and practice it becomes easier
