just rest a finger on your fretting hand on top of the D string to mute it.

use your thumb to mute the low E string and use the bottom part of your index finger to mute the D string. It's easiest that way.

the correct, and probably easiest way to do it is to mute both the low E and D strings with your index finger. make sure when you make this chord shape that your index finger touches both of these strings to stop them from ringing out. then just slide this shape around. its very easy when you practice it for a while

What I do when I play that is I put my ring finger and index finger on the frets to play the notes, and then I use my middle finger to mute any other strings I don't want played.
