I have to go with the Mesa Dual. Being an owner, I guess I'm a little biased. Can't beat handmade in the good ol U.S.A.!

if you dont want metal the automatically delete 5150, krank, and mesa.

Please don't tell me I'm the only one that clicked this thread thinking I would learn how to make my guitar sound like a grizzly bear.

I tend to prefer British amp styles myself. Mind you, I haven't played a lot of American amps (other than my Bassman), but I am a big fan of the Mesa Stiletto.

Thank's I can't believe how expensive those Orange amps are? I bet they are built very tough and sound awesome though.

I am not good enough to warrant an amp of that Caliber yet.(but soon)

Eh...how bout not?

I ****in hate people that think that SHIT. Its bullshit. Dont listen to this kid hes never ****in owned one of the two Im sure.

Having owned both (now with a Triple Recto) I can honestly say that theyre both very versatile amps.

Hughes and Kettner are a German company......

+1

also, why american? but out of those, i'd say VHT. with an honourable mention to mesa... and the peavey 5150 is alright to good if you only want metal/hard rock, and next to no cleans.

Krank are awful, IMO.

some of the german/swiss/dutch brands kick all kinds of ass, too- engl, diezel, framus, koch, etc.
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
