Hey guys,

I'll try to describe this the best I can. You know that smooth, dull not-shiny kind of finish they put on some Ibanezes(only brand I know that uses it)? I think it's satin.. or matte. I don't really know but the thing I'm looking for is the smooth feel of the finish that doesn't feel like those other paints. So can anyone tell me what this is called? Thanks.

Gloss = Shiny finish

Satin = In the middle - Closer to gloss than matte.

Matte = Rough paint finish - e.g. Epiphone Gothic series.

Pretty sure that's it. Hopefully it helps. I dunno what finishes Ibanez have but I would assume it would be Satin.
