the kerry king kkv starter guitar (the one with the tribal) just bought if off my mate for £55, reckon it would be good for a project guitar. i like it except action needs lowering new strings new tuners and pickups
reckon if i did all that replaced electronics and gave it good paint job (its covered completely in chimaria stickers, like theres not 1 cm of body that isnt) it would be a good guitar?

I think you should make him get rid of the stickers himself. In fact, you should have done that BEFORE you bought it.

i had one of those for like a day and i brought it back cuz it sucked lol... i think it was cuz the bridge was a bit too high, looking back i probly coulda lowered it n threw in some better pick ups but i dunno. u could probly get some good metal tones out of it if u rigged it up good.

yeah, it should be a pretty decent guitar. i'm not too fond of bc rich, but once you get it fixed up, it should be pretty sweet.

There are no boring scales, just boring guitarists.

Body is basswood, the neck is maple and rosewood.

Do it up and it should be fine!

New everything except body and neck!

Tuners, pickups, nut, electronics, pickups, bridge, EVERYTHING!

And it should sound fine.

Also paint it up nice too

it does look better with the stickers rather than the tribal.

thats my plan the tuners suck but i dont know if its because the strings aint been changed in that long it cant hold a tuning, bought some new strings though. im fancying some emg's, new nut, new electronics, either just lower bridge or get a complete new one depends on the price.

but i am gonna mod this guitar up alot.

Also paint it up nice too
