so i bought this les paul for $200 with hardshell case from guitar center, and after a couple of weeks the wiring started cutting out. so i bought the JPLP wiring kit from stewmac. i tried installing it all by myself ( my first wiring job.) and now something is wrong, and whenever i touch the metal thing around the pickup selector it buzzes. im pretty sure its a grounding problem, but i dont know what to do.

Well, as you said you have no experience in it yourself... So why not take it in, and avoid any damages, and ask if you can watch?

Then you'll learn something at the same time too, and hopefully not fuck up your guitar.
