ok so this is an acoustic song i wrote a couple days ago

Verse 1
Now run along home, and leave this life behind
if theres one thing thats waiting
its a hardship in your mind
it lies unexposed, while your love for me grows

Chorus
And now you say goodbye to me, and walk away
what have i dont for this fateful day
that now comes, and i will scream
and i will dream of your face coming home
on that fateful morning when my life begins again

Verse 2
So now youve come
to a crossroads in your path
oh will you run? or begin your trek back home
you miss my voice, you miss my touch
but cant stop moving on, your love is gone

Chorus
And now you say goodbye to me, and walk away
what have i dont for this fateful day
that now comes, and i will scream
and i will dream of your face coming home
on that fateful morning when my life begins again

Verse3
If you could make one choice,
would it be to carry on, or hear my voice?
to turn your head and look
i need just one look, to bring you back to me
so come back home

i really like the verses, but i'm having a hard time following the chorus. what's worse, is i have no clue how to describe it, but it just doesn't seem to flow.

yeah, its meant to be sung slow and played with a light acoustic in the background

BTW for anyone whos wondering this song is about a woman who leaves a man because she thinks its the right thing to do, only to realize that she loved him in her travel away from him.

Just out of curiousity, is the title of this thread valid? "my song" isn't really a genre of writing or anything, so...

Yeah, I can be a bit of a perfectionist sometimes... my bad.
