Avast and AVG are quite popular, I don't think they come with firewalls though. You could get a separate firewall, Zone Alarm for example.

You should get a Mac

AVG or Avast! are good choices. Zonealarm is the most annoying firewall ever.

Do NOT GET NORTON!! it works but it slows your computer and loses files so you can update anything.

AVG is pretty awsome. Like alot of people have said, DONT get zone alarm, its a firewall allright, but it blocks everything ever 5 minutes, i think it would probably block google if it was given half a chance.

You don't really need a firewall if you have SP2, and a router.

There's no such thing. Just pull $50 out of your ass and use it. AVG sucks, it's one of the most horribly coded programs I've ever used. So many crashes and errors. I use Norton and it doesn't slow your computer. Maybe if you're a n00b. The only thing I don't like about it is that it can't be force killed using task manager or End It All. I could take more drastic steps, but I don't care enough. I still use less than 300 megs of my page file running XP.

Go buy Norton or something and then download an old version of Sygate Personal Firewall. The new version was bought out by Symantec because they're a bunch of greedy assholes and they want to ***** your computer for money.
mmmmmmhmmm

That's exactly what I've been trying to say.
