hey guys,
i dropped my guitar a few weeks ago so i took it to a luthier to get it fixed, and he said it would cost about 200 euros (or dollars, practically the same) to get it done.
so i was thinking, since the guitar only costed 210 euros, and i wanted to buy a new one, this is the right time ! so now my question is: what is a very good high-class guitar, my budget is around 3000 dollars but if there is a guitar i really like and it's over 3000 i am still willing to pay that. so any suggestions? i've been looking at gibsons and the reviews are all very positive, so maybe a gibson ?

thanks

Wow. $3000 is so far out of my price range for a single acoustic, I wouldn't even know what to tell you.

I have heard that Gibson acoustics are overrated. Go for a Martin or a Taylor.
Gibson Les Paul Standard
Fender Telecaster
Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier Solo Head
Mesa 412 slant cab
Monster Power Pro 2500 Power Conditioner
TC Electronic G-Force

Gibson acoustics are WAY OVERATED like mrmnson said.

Taylor or Martin are probably the best you can buy.

Lowden & Gitane are nice too.

Even Epiphone acoustics are quite nice to play, like the 200 and 300 models.

Is there any black people on UG?
I don't think a lot of black people play guitar anymore.

I have also heard good things about Epiphone acoustics but being the gear snob that I am it would be very difficult for me to buy an Epiphone. I only bought a Yamaha acoustic because I am an electric guy and just wanted something sufficient.

Dude with $3,000 don't listen to any of these people, go get one custom made by a luthier. Or at least get a custom martin/taylor/cole clark/maton. If I had that much money for a guitar I wouldn't even consider getting a factory model.
