When rap artists collaborate with rock artists what do you think?

I think some of the best music has been produced from them.

RUN DMC & Aerosmith
Public Enemy & Anthrax
#2
Jay-Z and Linkin Park did a collaboration a while back..... it wasnt that great, but im not a huge fan of either, but the music was better than some of the stuff on the radio at the time
#4
the grey album was amazing.

but it does depend on the two artists.

but generally, the lowest common denominator of each genre comes together.

Also worth mentioning is Anthrax's I'm the Man

And Blondie's Rapture, if you consider Blondie to be rock.

well... Rage Against the Machine are rock rap
i prefer Audioslave just beacuse of their singer
but i still like RATM

Anthrax and Public Enemy did a really good job of it

Linkin' Park must have been high when they did that thing with Jay-Z coz it blew major ass

The drummer in my band classes Skipknot as "Death Rap"

So it can be done and liked by many
Or it can backfire big time

It'll be interesting to see what comes next

According to BS statistics, 92% of teens have moved on to rap. If you're among the 8% who doesn't consider rap to be real music, donate your brains, as you clearly aren't using them.
