I love Black Sabbath, when they had Ozzy as their singer. When he quit and they got Ronny James Dio, I think he turned their songs too ballad-ish. Not like a ballad, but he lessend the amount of "heaviness" they used to have before Ozzy quit, and I think that killed Black Sabbath in my eyes (for that time period). How about you?

the Dio stuff just fit in better with the metal of the '80s, but the original sound is 100x better

Well it's better having a different style to suit Dio than just trying to recreate what they had with Ozzy it shows integrity and I respect it despite being not being a big fan of the post-Ozzy years.

I just want to say to get your facts right, ozzy didn't quit, they kicked him out of the band cause he was ****ing himself up way to much with all the drugs he was taking.

Have you even heard Dehumanizer? That album is pretty heavy, and the three new songs they composed are heavy too. Shadow of the Wind really stands out, great song.

I <3 Dio, but I prefer Ozzy-era Black Sabbath.

Dio era Sabbath owns just as much as Ozzy-era, anyone who tries to convince themself otherwise is a fool.

In my completely honest opinion, I think Black Sabbath were better without Ozzy, and Ozzy was better without Black Sabbath.

Let the flaming begin...

i like both singers but the original sabbath line up is the best im just glad i got to see it at dl05

Black Sabbath are far too over-rated in my opinion. Most of their songs sounds horrible, to me. I respect Iommi as a sort of pioneer/revolutionist, but I didn't like his playing.

Ozzy needs one of two things in order to not suck.
1)Tony Iommi
2)Randy Rhodes

Dio's certainly talented but I much prefer the Ozzy years. The '80s in general is just one big ball of cheese.
