yo im wanting 2 jam with my bassist, but he hasnt got a working cab but has an ampeg head, its a 350 watt thingy (not a bassist so cant realy give u much more than that), and it has an 8 ohm (dunno about spelling) out put. Now ive got a 4x12 marshall 1960B cab which im not using atm and that has an 8ohm input, but its only made for 300 watts.

could he use my cab with his amp? would it cause damage? are there any settings i should use on the amp? is it a good idea? am i talking shit?

answers please guys

thanks

No, guitar cabs can't handle bass guitar frequencies. He could theeoretically use it if he plays high up the neck, though.

Which would in turn make bass a bit pointless methinks.

But yeah, he's right. No can do.

You could do it if you wanted to play guitar thru it, but not bass.
You Don't Need a halfstack.

You Don't Need 100W.
