i play a straight up G major scale, 2 octaves, 2nd position, i notice a lot of times my pinky is sore, if you do it over and over at a managable speed youll be able to get some good work outs from it

Meh, I just use it when playing. Everyday gets better. Thats how I do all my practising, work on new techniques while jamming.
