is it possible to change a bridge on my strat style-guitar? im looking to get a tune-o-matic. going from a normal fender trem.

It's possible but it would take a lot of work. You would have to fill the hole where the strat trm goes and maybe the trem cavity, and you would have drill holes for the bridge. It's not really worth it. Its better to buy a guitar with a Tun-o-Matoc bridge than to mod your strat. Even if you paid a pro to do it it woulds a shit load.

^^Mm. You'd also need to angle the neck poicket to create the proper string tension for the TOM.

To elaborate on my question, I ask because I'd like to know what you hope accomplish by changing to a TOM.

well, i hate the bridge i have have in there. Its popped out twice during gigs. I took it to my shop and they said i had to replace the bridge. They said a TOM would be easiest.

dude, replacing to a TOM will be a hard job, its better to get a good trem with slight to non modifications on your guitar's body. how many springs do you have in your trem?

vintage 6-screw. norm strat trem. 3-spring. by popping out. i mean ripping the wire and heading towards the floor it hits too
