What albums do you think every core fan needs to own? Hopefully get a good list so people newer to the genre can use it as a reference and we can work together to keep bullet for my valentine out of their playlists.

some of those are probably not what you were wanting, being all fairly well known and not hardcore in its purest sense. but i regard them as essentials in their own way.

Actually three CDs I couldn't live without at the moment. (I'm not a big fan of the massive wank-lists)

Proteam - Our Wasteland
Comeback Kid - Turn it Around
and the Cave In discography.

I just spent 4 days at a folk festival down the beach.

Whenever I wasn't listening to amazing 12 string guitarists, those three things kept me sane.

Speaking of which, iRivers blow dick.
Gwar kill all.
Maton make gay guitars.
And Nick Nickolas is a genious.

Break Even are amazing.
Add that to the list.

Break Even - Young at Heart

not at all. There's a lot of interesting experimental stuff on it. I'll admit, the second album, Love in the Fascist Brothel is a bit boring. But that one is excellent

This sounds really ignorant but I don't like any of the horns on the cd.
