Hey guys, Phil here.

Decided to sell all of my guitar stuff, not using it as much as I thought I would and have bills to pay. College sucks. Thought I'd give you guys a shot at it before it all goes on evilBay.

The info:

1987 Ibanez 540R.

Very similar to the body on the newer JS series guitars. Reverse Redburst paint. Finish is in decent condition, but the guitar is 20 years old, so it's not mint. Has a DiMarzio PAF Pro pickup, and two stock Ibanez singles. Original Edge trem. Haven't had to tune it since I got it several months ago. Don't have the trem bar, though. Sorry. Something else: It has an Ibanez Backstop. This is a piece that goes for $175 used. Here's a link for some info on it:

http://www.jemsite.com/jem/other.htm (about halfway down)

I'll sell it for $500 shipped to the 48 states. I can ship internationally, but you'll need to pay the shipping.

Here's some pics (sorry, had to use my phone's camera):

Peavey Stereo Chorus 400:

Ummm.... It's a head. Not too terribly fancy, Chorus and Vibrato if you find a footswitch. Two channel, decent overdrive. I ran this through my Scorpion Plus loaded 4x12, and I'm lucky I still hear things. Pics upon request, but might take a day or two. It's over at a friend's house with the cab.

$135 shipped.

4x12 Cab:

It's a vintage Kasino (?) cab I picked up locally, loaded with Peavey Scorpions. I think they're the Scorpion Plus versions, but the cab is at a friend's house and I'm not.

$200 + shipping.

Any inquiries can be sent to my e-mail, RaverFX2012@gmail.com

Thanks,

Phil

Someone asked for some pics of the knife edges, so I pulled the trem a little while ago and took a few pics of the pivot joints. I've posted them in my Photobucket album, check the link in my first post.

As you can see, the joints show very little wear. They haven't been filed down at all, and are still in good condition. In the picture titled "Underside, Trem Block", you can see some fuzzy yellow stuff on the side of the trem block facing into the body of the trem cavity. This is the remains of the soft, spongy pad the Backstop rests against. The scratches in the finish are from the previous owner(s) taking the springs out and not being careful about it.

In the picture of the left pivot joint (High E side), you can see some yellow/orange gunk on the block screws and the saddles. This isn't rust, as the screws still rotate freely. I think it's from a previous owner smoking, as some of it was coming off, but not damaging the Cosmo finish. If it was rust, the finish would be toast.

Any other questions can be directed to my e-mail or PM inbox.

Thanks,

Phil

Hey Schecter! What's up? It's going pretty good, other than my financial woes. Wish I didn't have to sell this stuff.

The head sounds great, the hum I was worried about slowly disappeared ( or I just got used to it ), but I run my effects through the clean channel anyway.

The cab is amazing, soooo loud. I was playing through the Stereo Chorus 400 when I first got it, and through the OD channel, Pre-gain at 6/10 and Post-Gain at 2.5/10, I couldn't hear my friend trying to yell at me from 8 ft. away. The speakers are rated at 250w RMS, so you could throw 1000w through the cab. Don't know why you would want to, but you can. So loud...

Anybody else who's curious about the head/speakers, check these reviews on Harmony-Central:

http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews/Guitar+Amp/product/Peavey/Stereo+Chorus+400/10/1

This is a review for a 2x12 combo, but I have the head I have is the same as the amp in this combo, and the 4x12 is loaded with the speakers in the SC400 combo.

Cheers,

Phil

so thanx and if you could send me pics of it with the cabinet just to show a relative size that would be awesome!!!

SchecterFreak,

I'd be more than happy to get some pics + clips of the head for you. I won't be able to until Saturday, work + school all week. I'm a huge Peavey fan, as well, and hope ( some day ) to be able to get the JSX head. College is my primary financial priority right now, though, and will be for a while.

Until then,

Phil

SchecterFreak:

Sorry to let you down, but I saw Tool in St. Louis last night, and it's kind of inspired me to keep all of my stuff and get better. One of my buddies let me borrow his practice amp for a bit, and it's just not the same as my head/cab setup.

Best of luck finding a head,

Phil
