OK, You know how system of a down uses alot of vocal harmonization. Like in chop suey they use some sickly harmonization at the end part. And Maiden uses alot of harmonization too. Do you know any other bands that use lots of vocal harmony??Vocal harmony is so awesome imo...It makes me wanna have sweet sex...

Sry I know this doesnt belong in the Pit, but I didnt wanna put it only in the rock or metal forum....Thx

A-cappella groups! I don't know any but I'm sure if you Googled it you'd find something. Also some RHCP and quite a few of John Frusciante's songs use vocal harmony, especially on the By The Way album.

I named my acoustic guitar Paris, cause' its got a big hole

Queen does layered vocals lot. Kansas does it quite a bit as well.

EDIT: A lot of power metal uses layered vocals, like Iced Earth.

Billy Talent. They use it a lot of songs, but check out Devil in a Midnight Mass. Pretty much the whole song is sung by both the singer and the guitarist.

Try some vocal chorales by Bach.

Nice.

If you're into classical at all, you should try "O Fortuna" by Carl Orff.

pretty much every single part of every single song by A Wilhelm Scream is constantly sung by at least 2 people so they pretty much are always harmonizing, it's pretty sick, check it out

You'll find no better.

Opeth have a lot of amazing vocal harmony parts. See the song Serenity Painted Death.
Lots of Power Metal bands like Stratovarius, Symphony X and Hammerfall live off vocal harmony.
Ayreon is great for it as well. Arjen appoints some amazing vocalists for The Human Equation and Into the Electric Castle albums.
Queensrÿche as well. They're similiar to Maiden.

All right, do you want the most BEAUTIFUL work of vocal harmony ever created within the realm of music?

Well, since music is based on perspective, I couldn't tell you.

But, in my opinion, the most awe-inspiring, chilling use of vocal harmony ever is the first movement of Brahm's Requiem Deutsches - Selig Sind, die da Leid tragen. It's only ten minutes long, but it's just got this otherworldly vibe that takes you to a state of mind that transcends all the world around you.

It was only about twenty seconds long, but the choral breakdown from Symphony X's "Of Sins and Shadows."

For a whole work, "O Fortuna."
