Theres certain albums that everyone just HAS to own. Im talking the likes of...
Master of Puppets
The Dark Side of the Moon
Nevermind
Appetite for Destruction
Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness

How many of you own those 5 albums and wat other albums do you think are 'must' owns?

Edit: I also discovered that my dad has DSOTM on vinyl in his old collection. maybe he did have good music taste after all...

Replace Master Of Puppets with Ride The Lightning.
Replace Dark Side of the Moon with The Wall.

I own a few "Must own" albums, and they don't seem very "must own" to me.

Pavement - Slanted and Enchanted
Sonic Youth - Washing Machine
Radiohead - Ok Computer
Modest Mouse - The Lonesome Crowded West
At The Drive-In - Relationship Of Command
Poor advice.

I own all 5 of those (though I do think Pink Floyd and Nirvana have much more to offer than those albums) I would add the Beatles- Revolver, although I do think this type of thing is stupid, because everyone has different tastes musically.
I'm a rockstar without the skills, fame, or income.

Nevermind had such an impact on the music world in general, that I think regardless of whether Nirvana had better albums or not, it should be one you own. In Utero was definitely a strong album too though.

LOL, I only own a handful of the albums mentioned in this thread, and I intend to keep it that way.
According to BS statistics, 92% of teens have moved on to rap. If you're among the 8% who doesn't consider rap to be real music, donate your brains, as you clearly aren't using them.

Animals - Pink Floyd

No, I don't own any of the albums listed by the thread starter, but I should at least buy DSotM. It would be nice to have it on vinyl (and a player for it)
