Okay, so I have my lovely distortion.... Digitech Death Metal....It really is awesome in my opinion but it gives a lot of feedback when I use it on larger amps (half stacks and some other amps). Is there any way of stopping this feedback from happening?

Noise gate. Boss NS-2 should do the trick, put it in your signal chain after the Death Metal pedal.
