My friend is offering me a his Russian Big Muff for $25. I play almost exclusively instrumental-stlye leads (think Satriani, Petrucci, and Vai) and my gear is in my sig. Would this be a good buy for me?

i say go for it

you can always sell it again (maybe for even more...depending on the condition) if you dont like/use it

but i think you will use it

I love mine, but I'm more into rhythm based punk/blues and Fuzz Folk.

But 25 is a steal, get it and see if you can make sexiness with it.

I once tried making sexiness with a Russian Big Muff.

When they say big, they MEAN big.

Er...Anyway, the Big Muff could be really useful for blistering leads. For that price though, I'd get it anyway, as you could sell it for more.

That's a steal, buy it.

You won't get a Russian Big Muff for that price.
