hello. i tried using..a minor pen? personally, it doesnt sound too metal for me
maybe i am doing it wrong.
anyone know any other scales for metal music? thanks.

If you're into more progressive type stuff, harmonic minor can really do the trick. Otherwise, I'd recommend more melodic minor and diminished. I don't use modes enough yet, so I have no idea how those sound yet.

i keep saying it over and over, but this turns every scale into a dark metal thingy, even major.. try the dominant ones ^^ (mixolydian phrigian dom. etc.)
