oh come on im not THAT horrible.

I wouldn't say horrible, but you need to spend more time learning your way around a guitar and developing your ear.

Not exactly the best song to show of 7331 sk1llz but whatever.

P.S. That hat makes you look like a tool
#11
Careful when you play the higher notes, make sure they're a little more clean.

And play a better song.
#12
More Practice. I don't like the tone too much but that's just personal preference. Keep it up.

Watch the higher notes, they get messy

Other than that, work on timing and consistancy
#18
yeah, you need to learn your way around the guitar a bit more, if that makes sense.

And you also need to learn not to post your video on youtube and then link it here If you ever read the Vincent485 thread, you'd realise that it's UG suicide

and it goes without saying about the hat
#19
OK, grats, I learned it in like 5 minutes.

j/k, around 10 minutes as well.

But seriously, play a song that shows more technique/skill.
#20
hm

whats so bad about the hat?
i like it.

and what you mean UG suicide.
im just trying to get peoples opinions.
#21

Yeah, btu when you are having other people crit how well you play the guitar, it doesn;t hurt to pick a song that will show your skills.

your ok, but defenently keep practicing there is alot of room for improvement.

feel lucky that the only thing that people are giving you crap for is the hat. they could always tell you that you suck and should stop playing.
#36
You have some potential, and you're alright for a beginner, but you REALLY need to work on your basics (learning the neck, playing in rhythm, ect). Oh, and I'd suggest working your way up from easy songs like the one in the video to more difficult songs with complex rhythm structures. Stuff like that is great when you're first learning, but you can't be playing Blink 182 (yes, I know that song wasn't by Blink 182, I'm just giving an example) you're whole life and expect to get very good.

No problem.

Haha, I remember the first song I ever learned. All Along the Watchtower by Bob Dylan. It's like 3 chords over and over, and I thought that I was the shit when I could play it through without messing up.

Not liking it at all. Sorry buddy, but it did not sound good.

EDIT: I figured I should offer a little advice instead of just being an ass, so I think you should definately learn to move around the neck a little smoother, but that will most likely come with experience. Also, wear your strap correctly before you strangle yourself.
