i was just wondering if fret size varies between guitars. my brother has been playing a while and he commented on how big the neck and frets were on my guitar..my guitar isnt too good and thought that was the reason i have trouble reaching some notes...i probably just need to practice them more but just thought i'd ask.

yes you do need to practice more. but frett size does vary.

fret height varies, not the size to stretch between frets.

some necks are wider that others. a wider neck like on LPs are a harder reach for someone with smaller hands, but hand possitioning and practice are very important.

make sure ur not wrapping ur thumb around the neck. it should be placed behind the neck, not above. (unless u want to fret with ur thumb as well.)

practice! practice! practice! practice! practice! practice! practice! practice! practice! practice!
that's the keyword. but, as far as i know, only fret height differs, not width, but, don't really matter i think, once you get used to it

Yes, it does vary from guitar to guitar.
