i'm thinking about getting this amp. i've played it with a shecter c1 hellraiser in a long and mcquade store or whatever it is and i really like the fullness of the tone. any more insight or suggestions?

keep in mind the EMG's did A LOT to tighten it up. EMG's and mesa mix very well. the EMG is a very tight pick up. not a lot of bass, lots of mids and treble.

the dual recto has a lot of bass.

yeah i was going to buy emg kfk's because i don't have the hardware or anything to install them and i would be replacing the 81 with an 89

the dual rects are pretty loose so tighten em up with an OD pedal

To my ears, The low power chord chug rythems are great and was mesa clam to fame, but the single note upper register bite and sustain are lacking. Get a TS9 for sure.
