Would it ruin my amp if I plugged my cello into? Wouldn't it just be like my barritone?

Well it definitely won't ruin the amp, I have plugged an electric cello into both of my fenders and it works fine. Doesn't sound very good. No it wont sound like a baritone, the cello is lower and since the strings are different and woods and everything it'll sound still like a cello, kinda.
Yeah Dimebag is not the "Greatest Guitarist" of all time... Hendrix maybe... I must go get food to eat with my mouth

$250 for an amp? wow. is it worth it to invest that much in the amp?

i dont have an electric cello. but i tried putting a cello mic on mine and plugging it in. word of caution: make damn sure you have a good mic. the feedback was horrible. i went partially deaf in my right ear for about 2 days. i have a 200some dollar mic now, and even then, id suggest a bass amp, or a keyboard amp

Yeah, I figured it wouldn't sound too good. I just wasn't sure since a cello and baritone have around the same low end.
